Dwight Saxon has been serving Palm Beach County as a Firefighter/Driver/EMT and Step Up Lt. since 1978. Following his distinguished service in the US Army and a short stint at IBM, Dwight began a career as a Palm Beach County firefighter that would last 30 years, retiring in 2007.
Working at the busiest fire station in the county, he responded to up to 15 to 20 calls a day off-season and up to 40 calls per day during season. With this extensive background of responding to others’ needs, and seeing the variety of losses people face on a daily basis, it was an easy decision to develop a company that provides proactive services for his community.
Dwight brings this passion to Saxon & Associates LLC. Though a business and home inventory does not take away the devastation of loss, it does make the recovery time less stressful and helps ensure an equitable settlement.
Owning and creating a successful business is not new to Dwight. He owned Saxon Archives, a record storage, document shredding, and document scanning facility, for more than 20 years, and sold it in June 2016.
Dwight is a long-term member of the Executives’ Association of the Palm Beaches, an exclusive networking group that only admits the owners and CEOs of the top companies in Palm Beach County. He also participates in a number of local charitable activities, highlighted by the annual “Kids Cancer Foundation – Breakfast With Santa” event, where he donates use of his 1961 antique fire truck, while helping distribute Christmas gifts from the Palm Beach County Fools.
He is the founding member of the Palm Beach County Firefighters Retiree Association, which meets once a month for lunch. In addition to just keeping in touch with each other, they plan charity events that give back to their community as well as to firefighters in need.
As a board member of Pandora’s Kids, Dwight gives his time to this charity that helps bring kids together that have either lost one or both parents, helping them to be able to relate to each other.
Dwight is also a Certified FAA sUAV Drone Pilot.
Connie Saxon’s professional background includes decades as a service representative for Bell South Telephone company in West Palm Beach Florida. After 23-½ years, she was laid off with 400 other employees. Needing a break from the daily work routine, she decided to take a few years off.
When she was ready to enter the corporate life again, the husband and wife team decided to work together. Connie joined Dwight at Saxon Archives. It was a great decision, especially due to Dwight being a professional firefighter and the shift work hours. Connie managed the day to day operations as well as the human resources department in their 25,000 square foot facility.
Dwight is certified by the National Inventory Certification Association as a Certified Inventory Specialist (CIS) and also a Certified Appraisal Examiner (CAE). The Saxons reside in Wellington, Florida, providing personal property inventory services throughout South Florida. They are insured and hold a Business Services Bond.
